She was born January 4, 1924 in Rome, Italy to Alfredo and Giulia Ales Donadio. She married Edwin W. Maw on November 4, 1945 in Rome, Italy and gave birth to her first child. Giovanna came to the United States in 1947 and learned to love the United States and Utah. She was proud to be in America, but loved her Italian heritage. Surviving are her children: Louise Hadlock, Keith Maw, and Victoria Campbell. She had grandchildren and great-grandchildren that love her. Also surviving are sisters in Rome, Gabriella May and Liana Giuliani. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfredo Donadio and Giulia Ales, her husband, Edwin, sisters, Maria Costellano, Alba Quintavalle, and brother, Carlo Donadio. Graveside services will be held Friday, November 21, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the Ogden City Cemetery, 20th & Madison Ave. Ogden. Friends and family may gather on Friday at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to services. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Humane Society of Utah, P.O.
