  Robert Harker wrote in his family history notes in May 1990 : "Lawrence served in the 12th Battery, Seige Artillery during the war ( WW1) and became their Commanding Officer. Later, he became Manager at the Spa, Bridlington, then general manager, Bournemouth Entertainments , then manager ….. Acquarium, Brighton; then manager of the Pavillion, Bournemouth. I last saw him at Bournemouth just before he died (1950). He is buried in an unmarked grave - No I 466 - across the path to the East of my Mother's and Grandpa's at Bridlington."
