Glen was born in Ogden, Utah on 30 September 1930 the son of Joseph Isaac Hart and Dora Leola Hokanson. He grew up in Thayne Wyoming, attended Utah State University and served in the military. He married Donna Marie Nield on 23 August 1950 and they have six children.
Glen Hokanson Hart, 71, died Thursday Apr 4, 2002 at his home.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday Apr. 0, 2002 at Myers Mortuary Chapel in Ogden. Interment Myers evergreen Memorial Park, where military honors were accorded.
He was born Sept 30, 1930 in Ogden UT to Joseph Isaac Hart and Dora Leola Hokanson. He married Donna Marie Nield on Aug 23, 1950 in the Logan LDS Temple, she preceded him in death on May 10, 1988, He married Dona Swaner on Mar 14, 1992 and they later divorced.
He served in the U.S. Army and was also a captain in the U.S. Air Force. Glen loved his family especially his grandchildren. In recent years he spent his days supporting his family by attending athletic and academic events.
He was always an active member of the LDS Church. He was a high priest in the church. He served in many church callings throughout his life. He was a member of the West Point 11th Ward.
Glen was a devoted volunteer at the Clearfield Senior Citizens Center. He was a master gardener at the Botanical Gardens in Farmington and Kaysville. He loved flowers, especially roses which he grew around his home. He was a tester for growing roses for Jackson-Perkins Nursery.
Surviving are five sons and one daughter, Steven Hart, Liberty; Eugene Hart. So. Ogden; Kevin Hart, West Haven; Vern Hart, Liberty; Gary N. Hart Ogden; Jan Marie Adams, West Point; 28 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren, one sister Ruth Peterson, Thayne and one brother Ned Hart, Tenino, WA.
